My Favourite Couture

When I saw the pictures from the Dior couture show, it reminded me that there was a world outside of studying for exams. In my opinion, Dior Couture is the best there is. John Galliano creates beautiful clothes that are truly a form of art. His most recent collection was just gorgeous. There was a prominent equestrian theme, but also some beautiful gowns, extravagant hats and feminine colours. Here are a few of my favourite looks.

Pump It Up!

Despite the fact that I have my financial future planned around shoes, I barely own any heels. So it's easy to imagine my happiness this weekend when I finally went out and bought some classic black pumps for an upcoming semi-formal. I was very excited when I found these as they're so classic and I can wear them with anything.

Skirt Alert!

Given my penchant for skirts and tights I'm always trying to figure out ways to wear them aside from the basic white tee. I have a pile of super-soft, pretty sweaters in my closet that I'd like to wear more and I figured I'd give this a try. I must say I was happy with this result.

For me, 2010 was brought in one minute late with an improvised countdown because the TV channel was in another time zone. Nevertheless, it was a great party.

I love the draped skirt and dotted tights together, reminds me of Balenciaga F/W 09. Recently I've become a freak about draping like this, it's just too pretty and fluid.

On New Years Day, I headed over to my Grandparents' house for my Grandma's 65th birthday. Happy Birthday Grandma!
