Christmas: Sweaters, Lights and a Furry Hat

Happy Holidays! I love Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because when I look back on photos, I love seeing all the sweaters new and old, dressy and casual that I wore for the holiday. I also enjoy taking photos of Christmas lights that are, in a word, intense. See below to understand what I mean. Stay tuned for a New Years Eve post! I already have my outfit in mind...

I love this hat so much it's ridiculous.

Winter Wonderland

Outerwear can be tricky. The huge form versus function debate reigns supreme and can cause a huge headache when it comes time to buy a coat, hat and all that fun stuff. Lucky for me, I feel like I have finally found a happy medium. Let's start with the hat. To be blunt, this is the warmest hat I have ever had. Not only is it ridiculously warm, but it's really cute! I highly recommend you run to Gap and grab one if you can (I got the last one at the store I was at). As for coats, make sure it's thick enough. Feel the sleeves and if the thickness is questionable, don't buy it because you will regret it when you walk out the door one snowy morning. Happy winter!

New Obsession

Michael Kors dress (Carey Mulligan boutique)
Oscar de la Renta dress (Jane Aldridge boutique)
There's a new website called boutiques.com that is officially amazing. It creates online "boutiques" that are full of clothes and accessories at all price points and they're all sorted into categories. The categories include celebrities, designers, even bloggers! You can also create your own boutique according to your specific likes and dislikes for every type of garment to make it as unique as your own closet. My favourite boutiques are that of Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes and Carey Mulligan. Above are some of my favourite pieces spotlighted on the site.
