On Thursday I had the chance to attend the Women as Career Coaches event with my friend Erin and we ended up meeting one of our icons... JEANNE BEKER!!!! I have loved Jeanne and FashionTelevision for as long as I can remember and being able to meet her was incredible. She epitomizes the ideal fashion journalist with her ability to get up close and personal with designers without being abrasive and ask informative questions--you can tell that she is truly respected by the designer. That night, she inspired me to go after my dreams, but to do it my way and to be fearless. Great advice from a fashion icon.

I Love Wu
Jason Wu was never really on my favourite designer list. I always read or heard all of this praise about him and while I thought he made nice pieces, I never jumped on the Wu bandwagon... Until now. After his Fall 2010 show, I am completely in love with his clothes. They are all so airy and light and perfectly capture the classic femininity that many women are after when they get dressed for day or night.
I also got out to see The Room at The Bay yesterday and I was not disappointed. The clothes were all fantastic and I finally got to see a Balmain jacket up close. Not to mention a gorgeous Jason Wu cocktail dress.

Pretty in Pink
When I first went to Uniqlo in the summer, I was in heaven. Their clothes are very simple yet have a certain element to them that make them different from the typical basic. This dress is a prime example of why I love Uniqlo, it's simple but with a very eyecatching colour and it is very versatile as well.
