I am a Target fiend. Their designer collaborations are always fantastic and I'm always anxious to see who they will partner with next. Obviously when a plethora of dresses from past partners were released, I had a list ready. This dress is from the Luella collection for Target and I'm in love with it! There's a crinoline underneath the skirt which makes it extra flouncy and makes me extra happy. I got two other dresses there as well so stay tuned for those!

Topshop in T-Dot?
Yes it's true. Topshop has finally come to Canada! Sort of. While the store itself has yet to arrive, the clothing is now being carried by Jonathan+Olivia in Toronto! The clothes started coming in June and new arrivals come in every TWO WEEKS!! Not only are the Topshop pieces great but they also carry Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang and many other great designers. I highly recommend you go and get yourself some Topshop!!!
Jonathan+Olivia is located at 49 Ossington Ave in Toronto

I Love Wu
Jason Wu was never really on my favourite designer list. I always read or heard all of this praise about him and while I thought he made nice pieces, I never jumped on the Wu bandwagon... Until now. After his Fall 2010 show, I am completely in love with his clothes. They are all so airy and light and perfectly capture the classic femininity that many women are after when they get dressed for day or night.
I also got out to see The Room at The Bay yesterday and I was not disappointed. The clothes were all fantastic and I finally got to see a Balmain jacket up close. Not to mention a gorgeous Jason Wu cocktail dress.

New York City: Steps, Shopping and Style
I just love New York. It's an amazing city where I find something new everytime I go, but of course I always visit my favourites like the Met, where I was able to see the Model as Muse exhibit which was just amazing and included some incredible pieces. My mom and I ended up spending 4 hours in the Met just wandering.
In the front of the museum there were these big black and white photos that I loved and felt a photo was necessary
And on the rooftop terrace there was a huge treelike sculpture that took up the entire terrace.

The next day was our shopping day which began at Bloomingdales with a delish croissant at their cafe and then the mission began. My dad felt it necessary to take a photo while I was looking in the Marc by Marc.
After a few other stores, we ended up at ABC Carpet and Home, which I now actually really like. In one of their clothing areas there was a super creepy but awesome mannequin with a wolf head and weird arms modelling some clothes.
We then went further downtown to more stores which included Topshop (just fantastic), Uniqlo ($5 TIGHTS!) and What Goes Around Comes Around (Amazing pieces and awesome guy with a huge afro working there) and many many more. Our shopping voyage then concluded with waiting for a cab and a gorgeous sunset above the Hudson before going for dinner to El Faro, a Spanish restaurant in the Village that's been open since the 20s.

While I was there I managed to get some shots of women I thought had pretty much nailed their outfits, even in pouring rain.
Unfortunately we had to fly back earlier than planned the next day because of the weather, but the trip was great. I ended up buying a sequined top from Topshop, an adorable supercolourful dress from Desigual, a pair of red tights from Uniqlo, a workout tank from Roxy and a lipstick pen and Model As Muse book from the exhibit at the Met. Fantastic weekend trip.
