Maxed-Out Marchesa

I always get excited for the Marchesa show because each season, the clothes are always spectacularly beautiful with incredible detail. This year was no different, except instead of the fine detail amazing me, I was blown away by the shapes of the clothes! Some dresses were like fine origami, and one dress in particular was, for lack of a better word, like an explosion. A breathtaking explosion.
Here are some of my picks from the show.

Marimekko Mania!

I found this Marimekko dress in a tiny store in the St. Germain des Pres area of Paris that was full of Marimekko stuff and other fun things. It is my favourite buy from Paris as the cut is so flattering and who can resist that beautiful Marimekko print! Currently I'm plotting ways to try and wear it in the winter. Black tights anyone?

An Open Letter to Peter Som...

Dear Mr. Som,
I am going to cut to the chase. Your Spring/Summer 2011 collection was absolutely incredible. The colours and prints were so bright and beautiful and the cuts of the clothes were perfect! This collection is no doubt among my favourites, especially these two looks.
Well done!

Parisian Pants

Yesterday I watched the Air Show with my family to celebrate my Auntie Erin's birthday--Happy Birthday!! I decided to wear the pants that I like to call my "Parisian Pants". While I was in Paris, I saw women EVERYWHERE wearing higher waisted pants with pleats on the hips and tapered legs. I was infatuated with these pants and decided that I had to check out a pair for myself. Luckily, I found these in the Kookai section at Printemps and they were on sale. Parisian pants at a perfect price!

New Obsession

Lately I've been obsessively checking the Gap website to see if any of these shoes are available yet. The peeptoe wedges are part of the Pierre Hardy for Gap Fall 2010 collection and the others are the main Gap line. Needless to say, I'm in love with ALL of these shoes. I especially like that the Pierre Hardy ones have a wedge, which is always nice for the black ice=)
