Float On

For the past week I've been in Clearwater, Florida and just basked in the sun; not to mention grabbed every chance to wear flowing skirts and dresses. For warm weather, I adore maxidresses and skirts! They're gorgeous when they flow in the wind and they're just so much fun to wear. Add a pair of chunky platforms and you look like you could hit up Studio 54!

Singing in the Rain

I'm not going to lie, I am not a fan of rain. I do however LOVE rubber rainboots and find them to be beyond helpful when navigating puddles. I've had these rainboots for a long time, and my love for them grows with every rainfall. My only wish? A matching raincoat.

New York Fashion Week Favourites

What intrigued me most about the Fall/Winter 2011/2012 shows in New York was the variety. At shows like Rodarte, light colours and fabrics were emphasized while at Alexander Wang, cozy knits reigned supreme. My favourite show overall was Jason Wu and his beautiful dresses and details. Here are some other favourites:
At Marc Jacobs, dots were EVERYWHERE. My prediction is a dots themed editorial in Vogue or Harper's Bazaar come September.

Marchesa never fails to disappoint with their frothy frocks.

At Alexander Wang, I was fascinated by pieces like this that went gradually from a heavy knit to silk. That detail was incredible.

Feathered Faces On Parade

Is the masquerade scene in Phantom of the Opera not incredible? It's one of my favourite scenes and at a recent semi-formal I got to live out my own masquerade dream (without the elaborate song and dance number). I went out in this gorgeous tiered white floral dress. The print on this dress is likely one of my favourite prints as the flowers look like they were effortlessly painted on. Of course I still needed to fulfill my feather obsession, so I wore a white feathered mask that was perfect against my white dress.

Covetable Couture

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I LOVE Couture Week. I think it gives women of all ages the chance to relive their princess daydreams from when they were 4. My favourites this season were from Elie Saab (stunning gowns!), Chanel and my forever favourite, Christian Dior. When it comes to fabulous frocks, John Galliano gets it. I absolutely loved the baby blue and nude colour scheme on the tulle, such a great combination!

Fiftieth and Fabulous

Fun fact of the day: this is the 50th Green Tea and Tights blog post! To celebrate, my new favourite dress is featured below! It reminds me of a Jackson Pollock painting and I think that's why I love it so much. The back of the dress is also so interesting! The back is exposed except for a strip of fabric going across the top of the shoulder blades and it drapes perfectly!

Bradshaw Blooms

Happy New Year!
On New Years Eve, I wore this gorgeous shirt by Joe Fresh [a Christmas gift from my mom=)]. The big flower reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw's dress in the first Sex and the City movie and I think that if any piece reminds you of Carrie Bradshaw, GET IT! I also have a new obsession with the Essie nail polish Merino Cool. Any colour that's a combination of grey, beige and purple I am an instant fan.
